How does circular agriculture add value?

Circular agriculture is an agricultural production method characterized by efficient resource utilization and environmental friendliness. Its core lies in achieving internal energy and material circulation within the agricultural ecosystem, thereby attaining the goals of efficient resource utilization, reducing environmental pollution, and protecting the ecology.
Value appreciation of circular agriculture
In the circular agricultural ecosystem, the various links of agricultural production are more closely connected, saving the use of production factors, making the industrial structure of the entire system more reasonable, and increasing the value of agricultural products.
The value appreciation of circular agriculture occurs on two levels: one is the value appreciation during the production and processing of agricultural products in the external cycle; the other is the value appreciation during the reproduction and reuse of waste resources in the internal cycle.
The outer loop completes the transformation from raw materials to products, realizing value appreciation.
The agricultural and sideline products processing industry primarily utilizes crop fruits and plant fibers as raw materials, and its products mainly consist of processed goods such as food, medicine, and agricultural and sideline products;
The conversion of waste into energy and resources within the internal cycle achieves the goal of resource recycling, energy conservation, and value enhancement.
In the process of agricultural production, the first value-added of agricultural products is achieved when farmers produce agricultural products through the input of production factors such as labor, fertilizers and pesticides, seeds, and funds;
Subsequently, agricultural products enter the deep processing industry chain through the input of production factors such as machinery and equipment, capital, and labor, producing products with use value and achieving a second value increment. Another part enters the biomass industry chain;
Products with use value subsequently enter the consumer goods market, undergo storage, transportation, sales, and other stages, and are finally consumed by consumers, realizing the third increment of value.

Consumers realize their own value through consuming products. They then reinvest into the agricultural production process, continuing the external circulation of agricultural products.
In the internal circulation path of renewable resources, waste generated during agricultural production (such as straw) enters the biomass industry chain cycle, and through the input of various production factors, useful products such as energy fuels are produced, realizing the process of value appreciation.
The useful products produced are partly used as input factors to enter the deep processing industry chain cycle of agricultural products, while the other part is supplied to meet the development needs of other industries, or enters the economic activity process, or generates supply and demand relationships, thereby promoting agricultural production.

The main modes of circular agriculture
A good circular agricultural model can solve the pollution problems caused by agriculture and optimize the agricultural industrial structure. It not only conserves agricultural resources but also effectively utilizes surplus resources, thereby greatly improving output efficiency.
Through summarization and induction, there are currently three main circular agriculture development models.
Material recycling mode - combining "planting, breeding, and biogas"
This model primarily involves multi-level recycling of Agricultural Waste, that is, the reuse of surplus value, utilizing the waste or by-products of one industry as raw materials for another.
Promote the development of circular agricultural models by utilizing resource utilization technologies such as natural fermentation of livestock and poultry manure, direct return to the field, aerobic fermentation, Organic Fertilizer production, biogas production, and residue liquid return to the field, to achieve the integration of "cropping, livestock breeding, and biogas":
Agricultural crops can be grown as feed for animal breeding, and the waste produced by animals (such as feces) and crops (such as straw) can be used as the base material for biogas;
Finally, the generated biogas can be used as fuel, while the biogas slurry and residue can be used as organic fertilizer and returned to the field.
Reduction production mode - organic certified agricultural products
This model primarily aims to reduce or regulate the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and additives, actively promote the cultivation of green manure, and vigorously disseminate commercial organic fertilizers;
By implementing rice straw returning to the field and further promoting soil testing and formula fertilization, the agricultural products produced can be certified as green or organic food.
We will advance the monitoring of major pest and disease outbreaks, promote green prevention and control measures, facilitate the substitution of efficient pesticides and equipment, carry out unified prevention and control of pests and diseases, and achieve zero growth and reduction in pesticide use.
Eco-industrial park model - combining leisure tourism with traditional agriculture
This model primarily combines the characteristics of rural ecological industries, supports and promotes key cultural tourism festivals or important agricultural harvest festivals (competitions) in towns and villages, advances the development of rural tourism products and projects, and further enriches the format of rural eco-tourism.
Supported by the traditional agricultural product cultivation industry, such as fruits and vegetables, and combined with farming activities like harvesting, sowing, transplanting, and tilling, we develop a circular agricultural model featuring rural entertainment experiences, ecological health preservation, and other agricultural fun experiences, striving to promote the integration of production, life, and ecology.
